Broadcast Journalism

The focus of Broadcast Journalism is to provide an intensive overview of the numerous aspects of live and taped programming for Radio and Television.  After students have been introduced to the basics of writing, reporting, programming and operation of technical resources, they are encouraged to focus and master one or two speciality areas:  Reporting, Directing, and Producing, Production and Digital Design, Editing or Audio Production and Post-Production.  Emphasis is placed on a team approach, and by using industry production practices as reference, students will complete a variety of projects specific to their area of specialty.  By the end of the programme, students will be able to showcase their technical skills and creativity by developing an independent demo reel that will offer a clear representation of their talents.
